Job Description

  • Establishes marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products and/or services.
  • Identifies new business opportunities and presents to management for pursue/bid decisions.
  • Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products and/or services.
  • Formulates capture strategies and provides leadership to capture teams.
  • Researches, analyzes and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
  • Develops and recommends pricing strategies for assigned programs and products which will result in the greatest share of the market over the long run.
  • Provides projected orders inputs for assigned programs and products for inclusion in the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Operating Plan.
  • Attains annual booking objectives for assigned programs/products.
  • Ensures effective control of marketing results and that corrective action takes place to be certain that the achievement of marketing objectives is within designated budgets.
  • Plans and participates in the organization’s advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets.
  • Evaluates market reactions to advertising programs, merchandising policy, and product packaging and formulation to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Recommends changes in basic structure and organization of marketing group to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives assigned to it and provide the flexibility to move swiftly in relation to marketing problems and opportunities.
  • Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.
  • Prepares marketing activity reports.

  • Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.E.E., B.A. – Marketing with technical background) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; Master’s preferred. 18-20 years related experience and/or training, with 8-10 years managerial experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to prepare and effectively deliver presentations. 
  • Experience with airborne radar; IFF; vehicle intercommunication (wired and wireless); Border Security Solutions, including ground Surveillance; MSSR and/or Air Traffic Management Solutions (military and commercial). And experience with Government business development in Asia, Latin America or Middle East.
  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance, which includes US citizenship.
