Senior Director – M&A recruitment
Job Description
•You will be responsible for deal origination focusing on Chinese larger corporations.
•The position will work with the firm for cross border midmarket MA transactions ( in both inbound and outbound) with China.
•Lead and expand the local team in Hong Kong and oversee the rep office in China,
•Closely work with the senior team in the Netherlands as well as several global MA partners
•Further develop the business potential between multinationals in their jurisdictions and Chinese corporations.
•Act as a bridge between Chinese and Western companies in MA, with a local presence and understanding of how transactions are done in China as well as in the western countries.
Person Specification
• Ideally a PRC Chinese national, with native-level fluency in Mandarin, and proficient in English
• Management experience
• Master’s degree in Business or Finance from a respected university
• At least 10 years experience in MA in China; both sell-side, buy-side, Private equity transactions and buy outs
• Proven transaction track-record, especially with originations in Asia
• Previous work experience with either an investment bank, in consulting, private equity or for a multinational in MA management
• Preferable industrial knowledge in consumer goods, cleantech, machinery
• Entrepreneurial abilities, Professional attitude
• Strong sales skills
• Having an in-depth knowledge of the deal approval process in China.
• Possessing a solid and relevant network in China for deals exposure
