Senior Director of Application Delivery
As a Senior Director of Application Delivery within the Facets Solutions Group, you will have the opportunity to drive the systems delivery for a significant portion of a $90B company that helps people live healthier lives. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Facets solutioning and application design staff while also leading large program based implementations. In addition, you will be accountable for ongoing management of complex solutions and services for a key strategic client - UHC Community State. The individual in this role will be involved in the daily management of multiple levels of staff and multiple functions/departments across the solution teams and client teams engaged in large scale programs and client implementations.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating the effectiveness and delivery success of the Facets solution teams
- Managing a team of approximately 75 Facets Systems Analysts responsible for the creation of solutions (configuration and/or development) to support business requirements across major functional domain areas such as claim, plan/ product, benefits, and pricing
- Working in conjunction with Development and QA teams to ensure solutions are executed as designed
- Providing leadership and subject matter expertise for system and/or business expansion initiatives
- Providing day to day operational support for the Facets platform
- Serving as an advisor and sounding board to help establish technology direction and drive business performance in the solution areas
- Becoming a trusted advisor/partner by establishing, cultivating and managing customer relationships at multiple levels in the functional area our solutions are supporting (ie, from the executive suite to solution owners)
- Constantly assessing the value our solutions are delivering and leading team members to develop approaches that increase the value we provide and the impact our solutions have on the client's business
- Leading cross functional delivery teams involved in supporting our solution
- Working with the broader solution team to address performance issues and managing any issues with our standards/obligations as needed
- Collaborating with other organizations to keep them aligned with project status and priorities
- Identifying enabling technologies to improve operational effectiveness and costs savings
Candidates will possess:
- 15 + years serving in leadership roles within the IT profession
- 10 + years of people management experiences, including prior experience leading a team of 50 + technologists
- Demonstrated progressively increasing responsibility for client relationship management and consultation
- Ability to quickly gain credibility and partner with business leaders and clients
- 15 + years experience working with executives
- Proven listening, negotiation/influence and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to message, position, and present information for maximum customer impact and influence
- Proven program management skills
- Effective interface skills to reach across the organization to elicit responses, gather information and distribute tasks
- Highly organized, but flexible to changing and multiple requests
- Can respond quickly and confidently to executive requests
- Excellent consultative, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively navigate and drive results in a highly complex, matrix environment
- Strong financial acumen and experience, with experience managing a PL preferred
- Champions continuous change, consults with versatility, exhibits personal leadership and models a customer orientation
- Ability to effectively drive results in a dynamic, matrixed environment with a high degree of organizational change, growth and ambiguity
- Exceptional ability to drive results through strong collaborating and influencing skills across all business segments and geographies
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure their quality and on-time delivery
- Self-managed, self-starter, able to work in rapidly changing environment
- Strong executive presence
- Healthcare experience desired
- Claims application background preferred
- Experience leading offshore teams a plus
- Ability to travel 25% of the time as required
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
