POSITION: Senior Director of Sales and Business Development

Core Performance is currently looking to add a Director of Sales to our sales team who will participate in developing a strong presence in the corporate wellness market and drive new business nationally.
Job purpose:
The position will report to the Senior Vice President Business Development of Core Performance, and will operate in an open territory to drive new sales of the Core Performance business. This individual must have prior success calling on C-Level executives and line level managers in Fortune 500 companies. This individual must have strategic selling experience and have demonstrated the ability to sell value-added services not differentiated by price (Core Performance is a premium offering in this space) to new accounts. This individual must be comfortable and successful with long sales cycles (one year plus) and selling high price points (typical transaction size is ~$1M). This individual must have the strong ability to match business needs with our product offerings, as well as integrate our offering with other programs within the company. This individual must have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets by developing new sales leads and taking them to closure. This Director of Sales will create and act on leads to drive sales opportunities to closure through demos, proof of concept, creating responses to request for information/proposals, and participating in marketing events. This position will be asked provide for input in product and sales strategy.
This individual will operate with considerable latitude in a fast growing, entrepreneurial environment that requires propensity for action and a solutions-based approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Meets or exceeds established quarterly and annual sales quota
- Identifies market potential by qualifying accounts
- Initiates sales process by prospecting, scheduling appointments, making initial presentation, understanding business needs, developing proposals
- Closes sales
- Extends program scope and scale within clients, continually growing revenue in an account as the client experiences strong results
- Contributes information to sales strategy by monitoring pipeline results, competitive products and reactions from clients.
- Recommends new solutions and services by evaluating current solutions, identifying needs to be filled.
- Grow industry, sales, and business knowledge by actively participating in educational opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of proven enterprise sales experience, including selling services and complex product offerings to the c-level
- Understand business problems and articulate a corresponding solution
- Ready to travel at least 25% of the time
- Ideally candidate has an understanding or passion for the wellness space
- Ability to quickly learn the competitive landscape and our place in the market
- Excellent presentation and communications skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent organizational skills, able to set priorities, and responsive to customer
- Demonstrated ability to execute results against strategy and meet critical deadlines
- Demonstrates business knowledge, perspective and ethical behavior
- Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing (MBA preferred)
This position will receive a complete benefits package including base salary, commission package, Health and Dental insurance, 401K, and bonus incentive programs
Preferred location is at the company’s headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona but we may be flexible on the work location of this position.
