Senior Director of Sales (Senior Sales Leader) recruitment
SPCapital IQ, a division of McGraw-Hill Financial (MHF), is currently searching for a Senior Director of Sales to join our team, build an exciting career with us and support our growth trajectory. The Senior Director of Sales will collaborate Globally with Senior Sales, Equity Research and Product management executives to establish a best-in-class Corporate Analyst Marketing platform and client interface, with specific focus on: {i}Industry Conferences, Corporate Access, and Analyst Access and Marketing events.{/i}
The Senior Sales Leader reports into the Vice President of Institutional Channel Partnerships Enterprise Solutions with responsibility for the origination, co-management and execution of these products as well as developing key client interface best practices.
Specifically, Senior Sales Leaders are responsible for:
Essential Accountabilities:
- Drives the development of the overall Corporate Analyst Access Marketing platform for SP Capital IQ and in conjunction with the Global Equity Research team.
- Maintains ongoing knowledge of opportunities within the key account base
- Provides a key point of interaction within the key account base to ensure appropriate levels of client satisfaction.
- Strategically co-lead the Corporate Analyst access events for SP Capital IQ
- Build a robust calendar of varied proprietary corporate analyst access events
- Manage entire event execution cycle including event origination, research and key client relationship management and accurate record keeping and corporate management feedback
- Collaborate key logistical best practices with the EMEA Corporate Analyst Marketing team
- Establish key relationships with corporate executive teams to become an valued partner in their investor relations outreach program
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Institutional Channel Partnerships Enterprise Solutions and SP Capital IQ's Global institutional redistribution clients on events, including the preparation of projected event budgets
- Working closely with the Vice President of Institutional Channel Partnerships Enterprise Solutions to ensure best practices, exacting standards, processes and procedures are maintained
- Create origination, meeting and presentation materials
- Maintaining information flow to relevant stakeholders
Skills
- MBA in financial related field is a plus
- Advanced communication and presentation skills to effectively assist clients, collaborate with key stakeholders, and deliver market intelligence internally to business units.
- Individual should have 8 years experience and a proven track record in senior consultative sales and have held a sales management role for two years within the Financial Services Industry focused on analytics, data and research across asset class.
- Proven track record at exceeding team sales goals and experience working with business partners to assist with the development of services that drive revenue and move the business forward.
- Experience in the building and execution of global / regional sales plans including creating sales budgets that reflect market opportunities and meet business unit objectives.
- Experience in building successful sales team that evolve with market changes and support a learning culture to keep skill sets of team aligned with client' needs for successful consultative selling engagements.
- Experience in origination, management and execution of Corporate Analyst access events
- Detailed project management experience

- Drive revenue by continually analyzing past sales throughout MHF, market trends and the competition. This information is synthesized to execute sales campaigns that promote MHF offerings that are differentiated in the market.
