Main Function
This role is primarily focussed on full life cycle recruitment for the Front Office Distribution, Research and Trading businesses. This encompasses working directly with the business and HR business partners to ensure that the recruitment policies and processes are best practice. Additionally that high quality talent is attracted to Barclays and recruited within agreed cost, quality and time scales.
Main Duties
- Responsible for full lifecycle recruitment of new permanent employees, international assignments and internal transfers for all corporate level of hires across Distribution, Research and Trading.
- Engagement of senior leadership to understand business direction, workforce plans and delivery timelines that inform the resourcing strategy.
- Determine relevant sourcing methods such as engaging vendors or direct sourcing, and the best way to leverage job boards, publications, professional network sites, employee referrals, shared talent pools, alumni networks, data mining and networking events.
- Management of “internally sourced candidates” from internal talent pipelines, mobility and redeployment.
- Establish a high performing and competent preferred supplier list covering executive search, contingency and niche recruitment across for the US
- Manage recruitment drives and campaigns.
- Responsible for adapting the resourcing strategy for different business units based on Barclays recruitment principles and policies, local requirements and available sourcing methodologies.
- Utilising the Barclays application tracking system, eRecruitment, throughout the hiring process.
- Conducting competency interviews through structured in-depth chronological methodology (CIDS).
- Preparing offers for senior business level approval, including working closely with hiring managers to produce robust hiring justifications to ensure smooth and quick approval.
- Ensure line managers are responsive, provide detailed feedback, and request interviews in a timely fashion.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers, COO's and the HR CRT to allow a partnered approach
- Assist in extending offers and closing candidates.
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- End-to-end Front Office recruitment experience (ideally gained in-house) with an understanding of Distribution, Research and Trading.
- Must have in-house recruitment experience with significant senior level relationship management/influencing experience.
- Must have senior level/search recruitment experience.
- Prior experience must include candidate management and negotiation skills.
- Experience in competency based interviewing
- Experience leading projects.
- Evidence of resolving service-associated issues.
- Must be PC literate-particularly Excel/MI production and manipulation.
- Database management skills.
