Senior Diversity Specialist Job in New Brunswick, New Jersey US


Johnson Johnson World Headquarters is recruiting for a Senior Diversity Specialist located in New Brunswick, NJ.

The Senior Diversity Specialist will assist the business sector Diversity Inclusion (DI) Leads in the development and execution of projects in support of their diversity goals/objectives. This individual will serve as the Credo and Engagement Surveys Champion - overseeing implementation, analysis, reporting of surveys and leading the department in the development and implementation of action plans. Project manage the continued implementation of Mentoring Works!; provide program teams and administrators with appropriate guidance, training and resources to adequately design, promote, launch and sustain their initiatives. Manage and update the various DI SharePoint sites, including Global DI, Office of DI, and Diversity University. In partnership with Corporate Communications, maintain and update the DI content visible on JJ's external website. Work with Corporate Finance to plan for and manage the annual DI budget; provide quarterly updates to CDO and Diversity Directors. Demonstrate business acumen - be cognizant of key functional dependencies across the organization and be able to build new relationships and alignment at multiple levels. Approach all work with strategic goals and overarching objectives in mind - envision the big picture and translate it into actionable deliverables. Demonstrate strong analytical and project management skills, identify and recommend best practices in support of departmental goals and objectives; identify opportunities, risks and options. Provide clear and concise communication and be able to connect with all levels within organizational management. Work toward building continuous improvements within the DI Department's environment, specifically supporting a culture open to new ideas, that proactively leverages diversity, and emphasizes aptitude and a strong commitment to excellence. Be prompt, timely and responsive in all communications. Be able to work independently, anticipate and respond to issues with limited supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor Degree is required. Minimum 6 years of business experience with a minimum 4 years of project management and team leadership experience required. Ability to lead cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams required. Strong financial aptitude, responsiveness and analytical and organizational skills required. Must be execution focused and results oriented and have the ability to translate strategy into action. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to various levels within the organization required. Must be innovative, creative and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic knowledge of diversity management theories and concepts required. Broad business acumen with the ability to facilitate change required.
Intermediate to expert level experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required. Familiarity with standard project management tools and templates required. Knowledge of budgets, ARIBA and ARAVO systems preferred. Must be willing and able to work in New Brunswick, NJ without any relocation assistance provided.
