Description:
Our client is an exciting global manufacturing medical device company who happens to be the largest in their field. And they focus on savings lives and they are looking for a Senior Drafter/Designer.

POSITION SUMMARY and CORE RESPONSIBILITIES;
Works on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. May coach or lead activities of other non-exempt personnel and often operates in a work team environment.
Requires experience in the design of electro-mechanical systems, knowledge of basic electronic manufacturing materials and techniques, advanced arithmetic skills, and the ability to use complex equipment, read difficult instructions, and maintain written records. Responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining high level and detailed layouts using CAD software from sketches, engineering requirements, layouts, or notes provided by or in conjunction with engineering. Checks drawings for correctness and conformance to latest industry and internal drafting standards. Works with engineers regarding accuracy and design, drafting standards

Requirements:
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge
Expert skill level with Pro/E WF 4 PDM Link Solid Works
Proficient skill level with AutoCAD 2008
Other Desired Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrates thorough understanding and proper application of GDT principles

Required Certifications and Training
obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.
Experience Level with Business Tools
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
