Senior Drilling Advisor

Required Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree Minimum of 15 years of appropriate experience, in all areas of drilling planning and operations. Well rounded in Engineering, planning and well construction. Skilled in planning drilling campaigns in various environments. Well versed in best practices for well construction, efficient drilling techniques and innovations to drive down drilling and completions costs. Capable of analyzing and solving complex well construction problems Demonstrated ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment. Able to interact effectively with peers, customers, technology suppliers etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, personal initiative and adaptability whilst being a team player who can provide a customer focus. Independent, self motivated person who seeks out technical service opportunities. Strong networking capabilities, and a desire to impact the future performance of drilling engineering and operations.. Proven ability to work professionally and ethically when dealing with service-suppliers? personnel. Ability to coach and teach to diverse cultures throughout CVX global drilling operations, including teaching certain modules at the Chevron/BP Drilling Training Alliance (DTA). Preferred Qualifications: Drilling and completions experience in the appraisal and development of unconventional resources eg. Shale gas, is preferred. Relocation Options: Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters. International Considerations: Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
