Senior e-Commerce Developers in a dynamic Capital Markets business area (temporary position) recruitment
Nordea e-Markets is looking for a senior software developer to the team responsible for developing the client facing applications within the Capital Market area. The application is developed in close cooperation with our stakeholders from Nordea Markets Sales, Research and Trading organisations.
Our current platform is written in Java, we are using Oracle as database and Apache and Tomcat for communication and web services.
Our main focus is on our newly started project aiming at replacing the existing platform with a new web based solution that also will be accessible via mobile devices. The front end of the new platform is based on the GWT framework and the back end services are Java based. The services communicate with our Oracle database using Hibernate.
We are using our own light version of the Scrum methodology.
The position is temporary as a key member of the team will be on maternity leave from end of September 2012 and until September 2013. The selected candidate will participate and work on equal terms as the other developers within the team. This includes design, development, code review, testing and communication with external consultants. The selected candidate will also be included in architectural discussions and decisions.
Do you find this attractive then we can offer you a job in a hectic, but rewarding and motivating environment working on the leading e-Commerce platform in the Nordic and Baltic region.
The most competitive e-Markets offering
e-Markets is the electronic platform for Capital Markets in Nordea. The platform offers online trading in foreign exchange and money markets, real-time quotes, news and research. Our customers access the platform either via our proprietary GUI, third-party vendors or directly via so-called FIX interfaces to support system-to-system integration. To meet our clients demands the platform will also be expanded to mobile devices in the future.
The business area is of significant importance for the business and presents great opportunities for us; however, succeeding in constantly delivering solutions is a challenge to us as there is a constant growing need for more electronic services in our business as well as a strong focus on system speed, concurrency and scalability.
The e-Markets organisation is located closely to the trading floor in Copenhagen. We work according to our own version of a scrum development model and engage directly with business stakeholders from Sales, Trading, and directly towards customers. We take part of everything in the development phase from design and idea generation to final deployment and roll-out and when we find it simple, realistic and opportunistic we will make use of IT outsourcing on selected areas.
