Senior Economist recruitment
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify macro-economic trends relevant to design the bank’s investment strategy.
- Analyse and present structural, political and economic developments on various markets to internal and external audiences.
- Translate the economic statistics and the orientation of worldwide economic policies into useful information for the definition of the investment strategy.
- Write economic publications and strategic reports for internal communication and/or for marketing purposes.
- Participate in the development of forecast models on financial markets.
- Contribute to investment strategy development and tactical decisions on equities, bonds and forex markets.
- Participate in internal investment committees and attend external presentations: brokers, central banks, centres of economic and financial studies.
YOUR PROFILE
- University Economic Degree with a post-grade in Economy or Finance.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Financial Analysis of which 5 years as an Economist within a financial company, well known bank, central bank or economic research institute.
- Expert in macroeconomic analysis methods, excellent economic and financial knowledge and quantitative methodology.
- Track record in financial publications and/or economic reports.
- Proficient with usual IT Tools as well as Datastream and Bloomberg.
- English and French : perfectly fluent (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication skills, team spirit, proactivity and reliability are essential competencies to succeed in this role.
