Position Summary:

 

Keurig brewers are designed for long life, reliability, and high performance. Many semiconductor ICs (i.e. MCUs, Triacs, regulators) as well as electrical controlled mechanical devices (i.e. air pumps, EM valves) are used in the Keurig beverage brewing system. Properly specifying and selecting these components are essential in beverage brewing system design. As a senior member of our group, the Electrical Component Engineer will be involved in all phases of the brewer electronic development. This includes basic analog and digital circuit, sensing and controlling, and microcontroller firmware design. The component engineer will focus on specifying and selecting the most cost efficient and reliable components that perform the highest efficiency per brewing system requirements.

 

Job Duties:

 

·         Diagnose and find the root causes of brewer EE or electrical controlled mechanical component issues as well as implementing the fix.

·         Source and procure the low cost and reliable EE components for high volume brewer production.

·         Define EE, electrical controlled mechanic component specification to comply with high reliable system requirements

 

Qualifications:

·         B.S. Electrical Engineering.

·         Minimum of 5 years embedded microcontroller design and component selection experience.

·         High volume consumer electronics / appliances experience preferred.

·         Working knowledge of Cad design tools such as schematics capture, PCB layout and Spice simulation.

·         Experienced with microcontrollers other sensor circuits is desirable.

·         Ability to perform board level analog, mixed analog/digital and microcontroller circuit design, analysis, build and verification.

·         Experienced with electro-mechanical parts such as air pumps, valves, motors, etc.

·         Must be a hands-on and results oriented individual contributor committed to team success and willingness to do the simple or complicated tasks to move the project forward.

·         Ability to work effectively with all personnel levels including management, engineers, technicians, contract manufactures and component suppliers.
