Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Essex
Our client wishes to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. You will ideally be a relatively senior figure in, or leading, an established electrical design team.

About the Role:
His role is to oversee electrical designs for the business and to oversee the output of the junior staff and to also carry-out surveys, feasibility studies, electrical designs and contract management;
Your duties will include leading the design process from the initial kick-off meeting to preliminary designs;
There will be a considerable amount of client liaison within this role;
Managing and overseeing the preparation of CAD drawings, design calculations, OM manuals;
Handing over projects to the client;
Personal involvement in the technical design process.
About the Candidate:
You will possess experience working within a Building Services Design Consultancy
You will have a strong successful background within the sectors of education, high-spec residential/commercial building, hotels, student accommodation, hospital refurbishments, and multi-floor office environments;
You will have experience of heading up a small to medium-sized electrical design teams;
You will have an excellent technical background with specialist knowledge within a number of relevant sectors: cable infrastructure (using Hevacomp), containment systems, back-up power systems, lighting systems and control, small power installations, fire alarm and security systems, CCTV and access control systems, public address, green power - photovoltaic, CHP plants, biomass boilers, heat pump systems, and control applications;
You will be experienced within a client-facing role;
Additionally, I would advantageous if you are chartered or working toward charter status with electrical building services.
