Senior Energy Commodities Analyst Electricity recruitment
This role sits within a key team which articulates, develops and executives the hedging strategies for commodity price risk management. The role requires an experienced and high calibre analyst to provide an excellent service to the business as well as liaise with a range of other teams including Trading, Risk, Analysis and Valuation as well as Demand Forecasting and Pricing. The requires a candidate with prior expeirence of working within the energy sector ideally with strong knowledge of Gas, Power. Coal and Carbon. You should have an understanding of Risk metrics and methods as well as an understanding of forecasting meteorological conditions.
You will need to have excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus and working well in high performance environment with other conflicting priorities. In addition you should have excellent analytical and numerate skills. In addition you should have strong Excel (to Marco level) and ideally VBA and SQL skills
