SENIOR ENERGY ENGINEER

Currently they require a Senior Energy Engineer to manage key client relationships and lead major detailed energy audit projects for clients in the industrial and commercial sectors. The preferred candidate is a recognized leader in their field and has significant consulting engineering experience. Candidates must have demonstrated credentials working on major building energy audit/energy analysis projects across a range of building types.
 


Responsibilities:

·         Developing energy retrofit projects, preparing energy conservation study proposals, project costing, energy savings calculations and energy analysis/modeling in the commercial, government or industrial sectors

·         Auditing energy usage patterns and preparing project feasibility reports to support sales executive’s efforts

·         Reviewing energy savings calculations and models for energy retrofit projects to ensure valid project rebate incentives

·         Developing energy usage simulations for new and existing buildings or industrial facilities to determine if they meet energy efficiency incentive requirements.

·         Conducting preliminary energy modeling, simulation and analyses of facility mechanical and electrical systems

·         Reviewing utility consumption of facilities, benchmarking energy consumption and specified energy savings targets for all measures

·         Participating in evaluating energy saving RFP/RFQ opportunities

·         Assisting in response to either RFP/RFQ's or sole source proposals

·         Developing scope (technical / financial/conceptual) for sales presentation to client

·         Providing technical / financial assessment of sales opportunities for renewable energy facility renewal projects

·         Qualify / assess / analyze renewable energy technologies

·         Performing key technical presentations to major clients
 


Qualifications:


 

·         Must have CEM or CMVP accreditation

·         University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

·         Minimum 5-10 years experience performing energy audits, energy modeling, facility energy analysis and energy benchmarking

·         Familiarity with HVAC, Lighting and Building Control systems

·         Must have excellent client relationship management skills

·         Experience in the facility performance contracting sector highly desirable

·         Must have excellent proposal writing skills and demonstrated experience in responding to RFP’s

·         Prior experience in supporting sales or business development is a major asset

·         Strong presentation skills are a must

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
