Job Description AECOM has an immediate opening for a Senior Energy Environmental Licensing and Permitting Expert . The selected individual will focus primarily on varied and important energy projects in the Pacific Northwest. Ideally this position will be based in Seattle, but AECOM is willing to consider other Pacific Northwest locations. The Senior Energy Environmental Licensing and Permitting Expert will be responsible for client development and project management, with opportunities for supervising environmental project teams and proposal teams composed of staff from multiple AECOM business lines, and subconsultants as needed. We are seeking a respected environmental professional with extensive experience in the energy transmission and distribution (TD) sector, and other related energy sectors, to help develop business, lead related planning and environmental licensing and permitting projects, and have a positive impact on the office's strategic direction. Skill Requirements: - 8+ years of experience in energy environmental licensing and permitting, facility siting and planning, and agency regulatory approvals. - Strong past experience leading SEPA/NEPA compliance on energy projects, with recent experience in energy transmission and distribution and/or other infrastructure. - Demonstrated staff leadership and mentoring skills. - Strong relationships with Northwest energy clients (PSE, SCL, PGE, PacifiCorp, Avista, BPA, and PUDs). - Strong relationships with federal and state energy regulatory entities. - Demonstrated track record of successful business development. - Develop and effectively manage scopes, schedules, and budgets. Develop innovative solutions to problems. - Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills are required. This position requires regular and effective management of staff, subconsultants, and client interaction. - Relevant experience, either managing or participating in preparation and processing of SEPA and NEPA documents. - Experience with the WA State Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council and OR Energy Facility Siting Council is preferred. - Experience with renewable energy projects, power purchase agreements, and independent power producers is preferred. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Studies, Planning, or related field. MS/MA preferred.
