Senior Engineer
Job Description
Case New Holland, a world leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of broad ranging construction and agricultural equipment, has an opening for a Senior Engineer in Hydraulic Systems. The successful candidate will lead the selection/development of hydrostatic transmission for AG and construction equipment. They will works closely with the Hydraulic Component, Simulation, Test Lab, and Vehicle Groups to design and develop hydrostatic transmissions.
- Develops and troubleshoot hydrostatic transmissions (pumps, motors, etc.)
- Write detailed technical and test specifications for hydraulic pumps and motors
- Evaluates/develops new hydraulic systems and controls in consultation with lead engineers/managers
- Work with suppliers to address warranty issues
- Ensure the efficient and timely completion of specific project milestones; Interfaces with vehicle engineering and other competency centers to facilitate smooth launch of product.
- Work in a team to resolve issues on the existing product lines related to hydraulic system and controls.
- Leads design reviews and participates in DFMEAs
- Provides frequent team progress updates to direct manager or Competency Center managers as needed
- Ensures the use of engineering standards, methodologies and global product development processes into engineering team’s daily work tasks
Requirements
- B.S. + 5 years or M.S. + 3 years of experience with an emphasis on the design/selection of hydrostatic transmissions
- Experience in designing or selecting hydraulic pumps and motors for off-road vehicles
- Proficiency in design analysis
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Able to travel internationally
- Experience in troubleshooting hydrostatic transmissions
- Simulation experience (Matlab’s Simulink, Easy 5, AMESim)
- Experience in the design and development of complete hydraulic system for construction/Agriculture equipment
