Senior Engineer, Product - Cyclotron Maintenance

Cardinal Health PET Services programs are designed to increase patient access to this important imaging modality. Positron Emission Tomography (PET), enhances patient treatment through improved disease diagnosis, staging, and monitoring. Leveraging our fully integrated network of 156 domestic nuclear pharmacies, Cardinal Health PET Services compounds, dispenses and distributes patient-specific, unit-dose FDG in 78 pharmacy markets today. Function: Engineering Family: Product Engineering What Product Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health Product Engineering is responsible for developing iterations, modifying, implementing and supporting existing products that function within the product families through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. What is expected of you for success in your role Demonstrates working knowledge of Engineering principles and its application in solving standard technical problems Demonstrates working knowledge of product design and development Tests, analyzes and solves technical problems with moderate guidance Verifies design inputs and establishes appropriate design outputs and qualifies designs with moderate guidance Maintains product designs and interfaces with suppliers where appropriate What is expected of you and others at this level in Engineering for functional success Works to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand and by breaking them down into smaller pieces Encourages informed Risk-taking and acts as a catalyst for innovation at Cardinal Health; generates practical, sustainable and creative options to solve problems and create business opportunities, while maximizing existing resources. Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices; Accountabilities in this role Provides technical support of cyclotron equipment Must be able to work a rotating shift that includes weekends and holidays Position requires on call hours of 24/7 Must be willing to work in a time sensitive environment around radioactive material Strong customer, quality and results orientation with a proactive approach Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures to assist in PET production Works in compliance with all regulatory standards including EHS, cGMP, Radiation Safety, applicable FDA and pharmacy laws, DOT, and internal policies and interpretations of the above as required Require traveling from time to time to assist other production sites Authorized User certification desired Service and maintain, one GE PETtrace and one CTI RDS-111 cyclotrons Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field required A minimum of 2+ years related work experience required Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Requisition ID : 12001580 Primary Location : Minnesota-Roseville-Gopher Travel : Yes, 20 % of the Time Schedule : Full-time Job Posting : Feb 9, 2012, 5:56:25 PM
