The major responsibilities will include:

*1. Assist in the developing of the project design plan (defining the types of drawings and level of detail require for the project).

*2. Work in close conjunction with and receive directions from Engineering and Project personnel and Principal Engineering Designer toward applying engineering concepts of designs into practicable and functional graphics.

*3. Develop complete complex 2D 3D layouts, ready for checking, incorporating modified concepts in manufacturing engineering drawings. Prepare layouts for complete apparatus characterized by critical clearances. Specifications can be from sketch or may be statement of end results.

*4. Assist with reviewing engineering drawings for constructability which includes checking for: ease of interpretation, proper illustration, necessary data, correct and needed dimensioning, proper tolerances, proper weld symbols where required, proper material specifications and related note data, proper material application and sizes and related drawing format requirements such as bill of materials, proper sign-off and release of documents via business unit/department procedures.

*5. Calculate dimensions, tolerances, fits, slopes, weights, bends, etc.

*6. Assist in the coordination of design activities on assigned projects including coordination of information flow and graphic presentation and follow assignments from inception to completion.

*7. Interpret specifications, references, etc. in use of established drafting principles.

*8. Direct and instruct lower classified design/drafting personnel in interpretation of specifications, references, etc. in use of established drafting principles.

The successful candidate will have the following:

- Associate's degree in Engineering and 10 years of directly related experience.
