Job Description Senior Engineering Technician (Job Number:303612) Description: Description: The Systems Engineering Integration Systems Division is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician. This position requires a candidate with in-depth understanding of test and evaluation, Link-16, and Joint range extension as it relates major defense programs and the processes required to discipline systems engineering within defense system acquisitions. Candidates must also possess significant technical leadership capabilities, testing experience, program management skills, customer relationship building ability, as well as personnel management qualifications. This division provides lifecycle support, from system development through sustainment support, of numerous critical platforms and systems for a multitude of USAF TACP programs. The Senior Engineering Technician will be directly responsible for helping our customers maintain existing relationships with the Program Offices in the appropriate offices within the Department of Defense (DoD) supporting them on programmatic issues related to RF, Link-16, and overall systems. Qualifications: Qualifications: Education Minimum of AS in related Field Required Skills: Requires minimum of 10+ years of experience in a highly technical environment, at least 5 years in Data link training, operations, and analysis, 10 years demonstrated knowledge and experience with DoD and Navy programs and testing and evaluation experience a must. Technical qualifications desired include emphasis on system development, fielding and sustainment of complex systems. Ability to operate independently, using solid judgment in the decision-making process without extensive supervision. Ability to establish effective working relationships with senior-level customers, technical staff, managers, peers and subordinates. Well developed reasoning, problem-solving, and test and evaluation skills. Strong team building skills and strong desire to transform and lead technical teams. Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. To be considered, you must possess and be able to maintain an active Secret security clearance.
