SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION ENGINEER

Our client is a leading award winning multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm. The firm provides comprehensive solutions in Canada and internationally with a strong focus on environmental, mining, oil and gas and water resources projects.
Due to the success of current projects our client has an immediate requirement for a Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer to take a key position within one of their major divisions in Alberta.
Key Responsibilities:
· The Remediation Engineer will be responsible for project management, report writing, and the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of remediation systems. The position will involve some field work within western Canada.
· Environmental and social impact assessments and audits;
· Environmental management, planning and regulatory compliance;
· Environmental site assessment, remediation and reclamation;
· Environmental monitoring;
· Hydrology and hydrotechnical engineering; and
· Overburden characterization and oil sands delineation.
· Client relationship development
Requirements:
· B.Sc. in civil, environmental, or geological engineering or a technical diploma with a specialization in remediation
· Master degree strongly preferred
· Minimum 8-15 years of related experience in environmental engineering and/or hydrogeology
· Minimum 5 years experience working on oil sands projects in Western Canada
· Candidates must posses outstanding organization skills
· Strong technical writing skills are essential
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proven ability to maintain and develop strong client relationships
