Senior Equity Analyst - Asia Pacific Coverage - Long Only - International Asset Manager - Hong Kong, China
An international multi - billion dollar asset manager is currently looking to add a very experienced and fundamental research person to join its growing research team business to cover Asia Pacific equities.
The client runs a multibillion dollar book for international invetors . Thus, we're looking for a single analyst with about 5 years of buyside experience to cover for these funds and generate stock recommendations based on a value investor mindset focusing Asia Pacific coverage with some key strength in either Southeast Asia, North / Northeast Asia or just APAC.
My ideal candidate would have had experience covering Asian equities either domestically or globally and has good research / information digging capacity. The key experience in dealing with corporates is key.
Other pertinent requirements include:
- 5 years of independent research writing experience - some preference for sell side or buy side research candidates- as the way to write, generate stocks may not be easily imparted. So we need someone to write and report effectively from Day 1
- Open and experienced in looking at specific sectors i.e. Financials / Banks, Consumer, Property but with a regional scope
- Must be a Value Investors with Fundamentally driven research capabilities
- Ability to work with global teams - across Hong Kong, Japan, US and Europe
- Only for candidates willing to relocate to Hong Kong for jobs
The hire is attractive for people who either want to broaden coverage or have a clear progression to move up the ladder for promotions and coverage. Interviews are well underway and will finalize by end October / start November.
