Senior Equity Analyst (Buy-side)

You must have a strong and sucessful background in either Technology, Telecommunications or Energy Resources sectors.

The princibile responsibilties of the Equity Analyst are : 

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for researching a given number of stocks using a variety of research and investment techniques.

Writing research notes and making buy or sell recommendations.

Presenting an industry review to Portfolio Managers and other Analysts/Research Associates.

Arranging and running company meetings.

Attending relevant group meetings and sharing investment ideas.

Communicating ideas and knowledge to Portfolio Managers regularly.

Experience and Qualifications

Strong numeric and analytical skills as evidenced by an accounting qualification, CFA or previous    experience within a financial analytical role.

An avid interest in the equity markets.

Intellectually curious.

Clear interest in investment management

Enthusiasm for companies and stocks which may be demonstrated by previous work experience or personal investing.

Excellent communication skills.

Self starter – shows initiative.

Self motivated.

You must have strong specific industry knowledge of Technology, Telecommunications or Energy Resources sectors which could potentially come from a number of backgrounds such as, but not exclusive to: specialist consultancy firms or industry groups within larger firms;

·         MA advisory firms;

 

·         specialist audit firms or industry audit groups within larger practices;

 

·         PE / VC firms;

 

Strategy, corporate development or investor relations teams within large corporates; asset managers; investment banks.
