Senior Equity Analyst /PM Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund
My Client is a Multi Million Dollar Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund who are currently seeking a Senior Equity Analyst / Portfolio Manager covering the North Asian region, particularly Korea, to join their Hong Kong Office
This is a unique opportunity for a senior research candidate or Portfolio manager with specific skills in Event driven equity investments in the North Asian region to join one of the most prestigious Event Driven funds in Asia.
The role will entail performing both detailed fundamental research into the regions equity markets and creating lucrative investment proposals for the firms portfolio. The candidate will have a strong background in event driven strategies across North Asia with particular emphasis upon the Korean market
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with a Senior PM to develop the overall investment strategy for the North Asian markets across a range of sectors, using both fundamental research, market reports, company visits and macro research to drive the stock selection process
- Work with senior PM's to execute validated trade ideas and begin the development process to managing your own book. (Candidates with experience as a PM will be considered and will transition to a full PM faster)
- Contribute to the overall investment strategy of the fund through your views on the broader Economic landscape and any opportunities this poses
Candidate Requirements
- 7-10 years experience in performing Equity research with a minimum of 3 years covering the North Asian Korean region. Candidates with experience as a Junior PM or PM will be given preference and can be taken on with PnL experience
- Experience in Event Driven Strategies across the North Asia Region
- University Educated, obtaining at least a BSc in Economics, Finance or Banking from a Global Top 50 University
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a particular focus on meticulous research
- A deep passion for Investments, a willingness for hard work to attain the highest results both financially and for the company
