Senior ETL Developer Job in Milpitas 95035, California US

The Senior ETL Developer is responsible for design, development, data migration, and maintenance of Quantros ETL platform. You will work closely with business analysts to help translate user requirements into ETL solutions. You must have excellent ETL development capabilities and an understanding of data warehouse practices.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

     

·               Recommend and implement improvements to the ETL Development process

·               Performance and data quality validation, mappings and workflows

·               Maintain ongoing documentation of ETL environments, including future development

·               Actively participate in requirements gathering and design for ongoing development projects

·               Monitor and maintain HIPAA privacy and security standards as defined by Quantros

 

Experience and Qualifications:

 

·               Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Master’s degree desirable.

·               Four (4) years or more experience on one or more enterprise ETL tools.

·               Strong experience in Star-Schema, Snowflake Schema, fact, dimension tables, data modeling, and OLAP cube design.

·               Experienced in integration of disparate data sources like Oracle11g, SQL Server, Flat files, and XML files into the target tables

·               Experience in performance tuning of SQL statements, and stored procedures

·               Experience in writing UNIX shell scripts and job scheduling tools

·               Work extensively on PL/SQL, packages, procedures, functions and triggers

·               Background in data analysis, processing, and management.

·               Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

·               Knowledge of current standards and practices in healthcare clinical information systems is preferred.

 

Working Environment/Physical Demands

           

Working Environment:

·               General office environment: Works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.

·               Limited long-distance or air travel needed. 

·               Periods of stress may occur.

 

Physical Demands:

·               Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks and in front of a computer monitor.

·               Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel.
