Senior Executive, Claims recruitment
Overall Purpose of the Job
- Responsible for the processing of all classes of claims.
- Assist in claims assessment and settlement
Reporting Relations
Reports To: Manager, Claims
Direct Reports: N.A.
Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for the proper and efficient processing of both Treaty and Facultative claims of all classes, assessment of adequate reserves, advising on the validity and the correct amount of the loss, and attending to claim settlement in liaison with the Finance Department;
- Monitor and ensure proper recording, filing systems and accuracy of all bookings and strict monitoring of cash calls;
- Assist in the preparation of reports on claim reserves, outstanding losses and claim statistics;
- Appoint and liaise with Specialist Surveyors, Adjusters, Lawyers and other service providers as necessary;
- Handle recoveries from third parties;
- Attend to Clients, Brokers and business contacts, and deal with enquiries, promptly and efficiently;
- Assist in other duties within the work scope of the Claims Department;
- Liaise with underwriting and finance departments on technical and accounting issues; and
- Any other duties as so directed by the management.
Required Skills / Work Experience
- At least 5 years experience in Reinsurance or Claims environment
- Be self motivated and able to work independently
- Be a good team player
- Possess a good command of the English Language; proficiency in a second language preferred
- Good IT knowledge and skills
Required Qualifications
- Professional qualification in insurance and/or claims fields an advantage
