Design Group is currently looking to secure a Senior Expeditor for our dynamic client. The ideal candidates would have experience within an EPC or EPCM environment.

SUMMARY:
Performs expediting activities on a project, in a support office, to ensure the timely delivery of supplier furnished documentation, materials and equipment to meet project needs. Exercises independent judgment in performing assigned tasks and reports status of equipment and material deliveries to the project through the reporting media. Participates in training and development of more junior personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Post secondary school degree, or diploma, and/or specific training in supply chain management is preferred.
· Prior completion of specialized manufacturing process, or business administration, or planning schedule training is also desirable.
DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Contacts supplier to obtain timely submission of engineering data, and to follow-up on equipment and material acquisition, production progress and shipment(s).
· Coordinates with Engineering for the timely review/approval and return of engineering data submitted by suppliers.
· Obtains copies of supplier orders for out-sourced material, performs sub-supplier expediting, where necessary. Advises Supplier Quality Representative of the origins of major sub-suppliers so they may determine if source inspection will be required.
· Evaluates production schedules and progress reports from suppliers to determine if suppliers programs and work progress meet jobsite requirements, and if not, initiates corrective action with supervisory guidance.
· Compiles data needed to prepare the Equipment/Material Milestone Status Report, Critical Items Reports or other supplementary reports as required. Coordinates the accumulation of data from suppliers and issues reports to the Project group.
· Coordinates with Planning and Scheduling, Material Coordinators or jobsite Project Expeditors and Construction to establish priorities, sequences, and required delivery dates and instructs suppliers accordingly.
· Maintains a working file of expediting related documents and memoranda of conversations to record expediting activities. Keeps an Action List as a reminder to initiate follow-up actions at appropriate times.
· Makes recommendation and provides information for Area Expediting assignments for prime and sub-orders, as necessary.
· Monitors Area Expediting assignments, including man-hour budgets, reviews expediting reports and takes corrective action on problems identified in the reports.
· Participates in bid clarification and post award (kick-off) meetings to review and discuss schedules, supplier drawing deliverables and potential problem areas that may impact required delivery dates.
· Coordinates special shipping arrangements or tracing requests through the project Traffic/Logistics representative.
· Subject to project requirements, monitors the issuance of material requisitions, and other project and procurement actions affecting material deliveries.
· Reviews material receiving reports against shipping documents to verify that all equipment and material has been received at jobsite, in accordance with the Purchase Order. Facilitates and/or assists in the resolve of any equipment and material deficiencies at point of receipt, through the UOSD and NCR reports generated by the Jobsite Receiving/Material Coordinator.
· Reviews/corroborate/attests supplier invoices for equipment/material deliveries against Purchase Order requirements, as to quantity and quality.
· When assigned to jobsite:
· Maintains continuing contact with the office Project Expediting staff to exchange information about jobsite requirements and current order status.
· Attends construction coordination meetings, coordinates with Construction, Planning and Scheduling, jobsite Engineers, and other Field Procurement staff to ensure that field material requirements receive timely attention and follow-up action.
· Coordinates customs clearance (on overseas jobs) of critical material and equipment with Field Traffic and Logistic representatives.
· Executes all other related duties as assigned by supervisor
