Senior Facilities Manager

The Team:
The Group Property team provide accommodation to the Group's 52,000 employees in circa 1 million square metres of commercial and retail accommodation. This role is required for the delivery of the on-site facilities in all commercial buildings located in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
The Role:
TheFacilities Managerwill ensure a high level of customer service and responsiveness to Business Units occupying corporate buildings in VIC, TAS SA. The role will drive the development of a sustainable work place andwill have full accountability for the management of all property and client services and issues within the space.
Responsibilities will include:
- Management of nominated commercial buildings within Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia
- Management of the Client Services Team including concierge, meeting and catering and events staff
- Understanding of and ability to manage risk, identifying areas of potential risk and providing solutions and mitigation
- Manage the performance of appointed external service providers to ensure that the delivery of services generally meets or exceeds agreed standards.
- Resolve issues escalated to the position.
- Be a subject matter expert and point of reference for the Commercial Facilities Management team on mechanical services
- Ensure by periodic audit, that work performed and charges incurred are valid.
- Effective property and facilities management including repairs and maintenance and minor capital works
- Ensure lessors adhere to all lease obligations.
- Manage SLAs and external sourcing to meet agreed standards, OHS compliance.
- Participate in the management of risk management plans to address emergency situations as well as health and safety risks (e.g. asbestos, legionaires disease).
- Manage the relationship with internal CBA units to ensure that BU requirements are assessed and met.
- Manage within budget and identify and execute opportunities to make cost savings, or free up funds to invest elsewhere in portfolio.
- Assist with preparation of budgets, reportsand forecasts for portfolio
- Provide input in the development of a world-class property management function within CBA.
- Assume overall accountability for the integrity of property management data relating to your portfolio. • Take ownership of property issues to achieve a satisfactory outcome for the tenant.
- Maintain induction procedures for maintenance contractors.
- Ensure key property assets are maintained in order to improve the life cycle and performance.
- Assist in the development, documenting and communication of all relevant policies and procedures to ensure a consistent approach and superior service delivery.
- Compile and submit business cases for additional works
- Drive WH S and sustainability initiatives for the portfolio
To be successful in your application you must have:
- A depth of experience in facility management and ideally within large organisations and dealing with property stakeholders
- Technical background, either Electrical or Mechanical tertiary qualifications
- Experience in management and administration of service contracts
- Experience in the management of external service providers in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and budgets
- Knowledge experience with managing multiple commercial building operations, security hard soft FM including critical environments
- Understanding of Government legislation and compliance requirements relating to building operations and management
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Property Standards and sustainability initiatives
- Understanding of and ability to manage risk, identifying areas of potential risk and providing solutions and mitigation
- Highly developed communication,influencing and communication skills
- At least 2 years experience with team supervision/management experience
- Candidates with experience managing catering and events teams in a corporate environment will be highly regarded
