Senior Finance Analyst Job in San Francisco, California US
Top Legal Firm is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for the client and matter budgeting process, client and matter profitability analysis, and working with the Firms Business Development team in the development of creative pricing solutions in response to client RFP’s (Request for Proposals). This senior financial analyst position will play a key role in ensuring the Client Planning discharges its responsibilities and meets expectations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Detailed financial and pricing analysis of client and matter profitability and presentation of findings and recommendations to management and attorneys.
- Assist in the development of the matter budgeting tools. Manage the matter budgeting process including budget to actual comparisons and respond to attorneys’ queries in relation to matter budgeting.
- Assist in the financial assessment of new business opportunities and the development of creative, workable pricing solutions in response to client demands for alternative fee arrangements.
- Working with attorneys, marketing personnel and financial management to draft the commercial and pricing elements of client RFP submissions.
- Various project work in relation to client/matter profitability, pricing initiatives and responding to attorneys ad-hoc requests for client pricing support.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 4 years of financial analysis experience in a legal service, banking, professional services, investment, public accounting, or consulting environment. Open to commercial pricing or profitability analyst experience.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, financial modeling).
- Software: CMS, Aderant software, or Elite accounting system, a plus; Familiarity with MS Access would be a plus.
