Senior Finance Business Partner

I am currently working with an International Specialty Insurer to assist them with the recruitment of a newly created, Senior Commercial Finance position.

This new role will support the Group CFO and CEO with developing and achieving an ambitious growth strategy for this London market insurer. Based in the London office, you will work closely with the Underwriting, Risk and Actuarial teams on a regular basis, supporting them with detailed financial and management information and shaping strategic decisions. This a high profile position with exposure to executive management and the opportunity to add true value to this growing, market leading business. The management team have identified that the business requires a self-starter with the commercial acumen and professional ability to identify business needs and mould their role around this. Your success in this position will in part rely on your ability to present and explain both top level and granular analysis.

As well as playing a key role in evaluating new strategic and business initiatives, you will also be involved with the following duties:
- Enhancing and developing management reporting for the division
- Improve and manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Liaise with group finance teams to support monthly, quarterly and year end processes

It is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual, and as such requires a specific profile of candidate:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with broad post-qualified experience (Reporting and Commercial finance exposure)
- Significant experience in the Insurance sector – preferably London Market/ Lloyd’s with an understanding of specialty insurance
- Experience with insurance accounting, forecasting and reserving
- Proven ability to add value to management teams
- Driven individual with an achievement focussed CV
