This is a fantastic opportunity to join this industry leading business managing a team of three reporting on the capital markets. You will have direct relationship with the front office, guiding them on the balance sheet and profit and loss. This position has become available through an internal promotion and the team is experienced and stable.
Your duties will include:
* Lead three qualified accountants responsible for the preparation and delivery of daily and monthly financials results for the Capital Market businesses.
* Responsibility for the control environment supporting the Capital Market business including the integrity of the balance sheet and profit and loss.
* Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders including front office, Management, Middle office, Operations, other product control teams.
* Assist and manage ad-hoc change projects where required to address changes in reporting or regulatory requirements
* Identify and implement process changes to improve team quality and productivity.
* Review new products within the Capital Markets business including the development of appropriate accounting policies where relevant.
Qualifications:
* CA or CPA qualified
* 5+ years financial markets experience
* Achievement focused
* Strong relationship management skills to liaise with front office and key stakeholders across the organization
