Senior Finance Manager (Life Reinsurance)

Full Job Description

- The role is focused on Life Re-insurance business however there will be a requirement for two-way knowledge share with the GI counterpart to ensure there is sufficient cover within the team.
- Provide a robust financial control and reporting framework for Group Captivesin line with the Group Financial Reporting
Control Framework
- Initiate and manage change to the accounting function including the introduction of new business and financial processes
- Control and manage all financial activities outsourced to external service providers
- Provide commercial and strategic insight through analytical review
- Preparation and review of actual, forecast and plan results providing clear commentary and trend analysis
- Delivery of change projects into business as usual within timeframes and delivery benefit envisaged
- Board and committee meeting support, including the production of papers
- Investment committee support including day to day management of the investment process, integrity checks and review and analysis
- Compliance to financial Group Policies or delivery of clear status and action plans
- Ensure relevant contract are in place and regular reviews occur with all service providers
- Oversight of internal and external audits and issue resolution
- Ensure a robust and effective financial control and reporting environment
- Drive through change programs as required in order to support the strategy
- Progress

Qualifications:
- Graduate calibre
- Professional accounting qualification

Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent knowledge of life insurance and reinsurance operations from a financial and statutory reporting perspective.
- Strong financial knowledge and ability to apply it practically
- Evident business acumen
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Effective communication and
negotiation skills

- Life reinsurance accounting including technical analysis, financial and statutory reporting is essential.
-Knowledge ofwith working with business at a commercial level but translating the impacts to dictate the financial
ac counting and processes
- Proven ability to manage and build
relationships with individuals and teams that may be in other locations and businesses
- Comfortable managing and prioritising workload in order to deliver on a number of separate activities in parallel
- Evidentknowledge ofmanaging
significant process changes, driving out more effective ways of working whilst managing day to day
deliverables
- Past contribution to business strategic development

£60,000 to £80,000 plus benefits
