Job Overview:
The Banks Segment is seeking a Senior Finance Manager who will report to the VP Finance, Segment CFO and will support and contribute to an increasing number of complex financial-based projects.
The Segment Controller will lead budgets and forecasting activity as well as management reporting and must be able to translate high-level concepts and business road maps into clear, concise financial information that can be used as action plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Management reporting
• Designs and implements monthly management analysis reports
• Runs monthly financial/operational reports and commentary on Regular financial analysis (trends, KPI's etc)
• Tracks PL against strategic goals, forecast and budget
• Various reporting : Headcount, Capex, Revenues, Operating Costs, ad hoc and regional reporting
Budgets and Forecasting
• Co-ordinates the annual budget and bi-monthly forecast process resulting in both corporate format budget and individual cost centers internally
• Prepares regular segment PL and HC forecast and analyzing variances to budgets, forecasts and trends
Projects
• Participation in setting up projection for acquisitions and joint-ventures
• Responsible for tracking and reporting spend / KPI's on projects to senior management
• Financial modeling and scenario analysis as required
• Monitor month-end opex, FX and headcount accruals for segment administration centre
• Ad hoc projects and reporting as required
• Implement standardization across business units in financial good practices.

Development Value:
The position of Senior Finance Manager offers developmental value through experience with budget forecasting and analysis, experience with reporting financial reports to management, and functioning as a finance representative for large group projects. This position is expected to lead to Business Unit Finance Manager role with a revenue, expense, EBITA, and HC management responsibility.
Position Requirements:
Essential Experience Required;
• Relevant experience in data analysis and reporting
• No less than 5 years of relevant professional experience
Desirable Experience Required;
• Controllership or Audit role
• Consolidation role
• Managing resources remotely
Essential Skills Required;
• Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, database/report writing software
• Understand complex general ledger and use IT information systems
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
Desirable Skills Required;
• Knowledge of accounting systems (Sun Accounts)
• Knowledge of SAP Budgeting Planning system
Qualifications:
• Degree in finance, accounting and/or business administration
• Degree in Engineering to be considered if candidate interested in a Finance career and has relevant Finance/Accounting experience
Competencies:
• Proven ability to work to strict deadlines
• Well developed communication skills, both written and verbal and excellent interpersonal skills with all levels
• Fluency in English; Knowledge of German and/or French would be an asset
• High level of autonomy and flexibility, managing several priorities at once
• Ability to develop and support "self-check" mechanisms to ensure accuracy of data
• Skilled in analyzing complex data structure.
