Senior Finance Project Accountant

Our NHS client is looking to recruit a Senior Finance Project Accountant for a period of about 6 months. The job will involve working closely with the Head of Finance to monitor the financial performance of key strategic projects. 

Key duties will include:

Undertake specialist projects as required to improve financial management and evidence value for money.
Review of systems and processes – to review systems of internal control/current processes and make recommendations for improvement. To implement new improved systems as required.
Review Programme Management – to review how the organization runs its programme management function and make recommendations for improvement.
Reporting – to produce timely financial reports as required that fully explain relevant activity, trends and identify key actions.
Change management – to participate in/lead change management activity from a financial perspective creating business cases and producing relevant analysis where appropriate

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA Accountant with experience of working within the NHS.  You must have strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Good presentation skills, along with the ability to identify risks and resolve problems.
