Senior Finance Project Manager recruitment
Reporting to the Finance Director – this is a critical member of the IT Finance leadership team
IT Finance is continuing a programme of radical transformation of local systems and end to end finance processes as part of the wider Group IT Simplification programme.
Core Responsibilities
- Core day to day responsibilities include:
−The management of a team of up to 20 FTE which is a mixture of finance professionals, IT specialists and project management resources
−Delivering IT Finance transformation
−Accountable for detailed planning, delivery and milestone tracking paying particular attention to key dependencies
−Delivery of finance organisational design – Project Venice
−Ownership for the Group IT leadership journey
- Lead the key elements of finance transformation activity which meet the requirements of key stakeholders including;
- Transformation/automation of key IT Finance processes
- Transformation and further simplification of IT processes
- Establishing service offering / accountabilities between IT Business and IT Finance
- Delivery of IT Finance Organisational design – Project Venice.
- Ownership for the leadership journey in IT Finance.
- Heading up the systems team to ensure that effective systems solutions are built into processes and are aligned with IT finance systems strategy.
- Ensure all finance change is implemented with an effective handover to BAU teams
- Develop key working relationships across the Bank to support IT and Finance Transformation programme
- Manage wider finance projects affecting IT finance, defining plans / resources requirements and ensuring deliverables are achieved within the required time
- Provide effective leadership to virtual teams across IT finance to achieve objectives of the finance transformation programme
- Ensure that timely, clear and effective communication takes place across the wider team
- Ensure effective stakeholder management takes place for all finance change
- Formulation and management of a detailed project plan and timeline to include all dependencies to enable robust tracking of delivery
- Chairing weekly Transformation Steering Group
Team accountability
- Define and establish resources required on a medium to long term basis to ensure transformation requirements are met in an effective and timely manner.
- Lead, motivate, develop, mentor and appraise team members as required
Processes Controls
- Define and maintain appropriate control systems and processes to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Act as an agent for change, driving transformational change to improve the way Finance operates around end to end processes

Personal Specification
- You will be able to inspire your team and the wider IT Finance team with your passion and your first class leadership skills
- You will take the lead role on delivering the vision to transform the way IT Finance operates
- You will have extensive experience operating at senior levels, ideally in a large organisation, and will have impeccable communication and commercial skills
- You will need to be customer focused, flexible, results driven and used to operating in a period of transformational change
- Intelligent, energetic, resilient and passionate, you will be able to quickly hit the ground running and make a significant difference to the team and business which you support
- With a team of up to 20 FTEs you will need first class leadership skills and experience of managing large teams
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
