Senior Financial Accountant Job in Tewksbury, Massachusetts US

Reporting to the Americas Accounting Manager, the role will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for the financial accounting function of the US, Canada and Latin America entities. Including, but not limited to:
- Year-end / Month-end close process: balance sheet account reconciliations, PL report generation, analysis and review
- Recording of prepayments and accruals
- Intercompany cross charges
- Provide support to our AP AR team
- Provide assistance with the audit and tax processes for the US, Canada and Latin America entities. This could include assistance with mapping country transactions from US GAAP to local STAT accounts.
- Processing of monthly, quarterly and annual sales use tax returns.
- Provide assistance with state tax audits.
- Develop and maintain teaming relationships with the internal business units in field services, operations and corporate.
- Ability to identify and develop critical analyses.
- Ability to analyze trends and opportunities and prepare reports on findings.
- Ability to compare actual financial performance against forecasted goals to assist managers in refining budgeting/forecasting methods and assumptions.
Desired Experience:
- 3 - 4 years of finance, general ledger accounting experience.
- Thorough understanding of finance, costs, financial statements and other related financial areas.
- Ability to read, write and speak the Spanish and/or Portuguese language a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge and use of MAS500, FRx Reporting and Sage AccPac.
