Global Network Services (GNS) was founded in 1997, when American Express invited banks and other institutions to issue cards on its global merchant network. These organizations are key partners, issuing American Express-branded products to their business customers. Today, it’s our fastest-growing area of business.
Responsibilities
- Support the forecasting and budgeting process
- Perform month-end closing activities e.g. reviews of accruals, variance analysis of results, partnering with our Financial Controllership reporting team based in India
- Understand business drivers and monitor partner profitability
- Conduct investment/financial analyses of GNS partner deals, assessing investment returns and deal profitability
- Assist in preparation of senior management presentations, and financial analysis of markets and partners in accordance to business needs
Requirements:
- Professional Accounting qualification (or CPA equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years working experience in Finance roles with excellent business modeling skills in NPV and other investment appraisal techniques
- Knowledge of the Charge and Credit Card business and associated financial drivers and financial models a plus
- Ability to grasp and explain complex concepts quickly
- Strong collaboration and relationship building ability
- Enthusiastic and driven, able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines in a demanding environment
- Self-starter, highly motivated, high energy
