For PPM Global Governance – COO based preferably in Munich or London, we are looking for a

Senior Financial analyst – IT (m/f)

Coordination and implementation of financial projects in COO-IT area.

In this position, you will draw on your financial knowledge to carry out responsibilities related to the roles of business partner, business and financial planner, expense manager, financial reporter, financial analyst and project and process manager.

As a business partner, you will proactively develop constructive relationships with COO customers, acting as a sounding board for all of their finance-related questions and issues. Taking ownership of their requests, you will initiate communication early on and keep them informed. It will also be your responsibility to promote the “one CFO face to the customer” approach. Along with coaching and training COO leaders and cost-center owners, you will support cross-functional collaboration to inform others about COO in general.

In the area of business and financial planning, you will coordinate and drive the annual planning process for the respective functional units. You will partner with functional and department heads to ensure compliance with targets and transparency. It will be your job to coordinate, review and support budget changes.

Expense-management responsibilities will include working with the COO-IT to drive efficiency and optimize the expense base. You will take initiative in monitoring financial expenditures to ensure transparency and accuracy in allocations. Your support will also be needed in setting up and managing an appropriate and effective SAP cost-center structure. This involves providing support to cost-center owners for setting up accruals. You will liaise with the business and project-steering function on issues concerning financial projects.
In terms of financial reporting and analysis, you will be expected to deliver timely and accurate financial reports that comply with customer and internal requirements. After providing accurate variance analyses, you will recommend solutions in areas where activities deviate from the plan.

Finally, you will be involved with financial projects and process management. You will support this area in governance projects and process initiatives. You will also contribute to implement consistent, efficient global processes, standards, systems and frameworks. It will also be your responsibility to align and coordinate cost-controlling activities with other CFO areas involved in projects and process management.

Driven finance professional with planning and controlling experience sought.

The initial requirement for this position is a university degree in business or another finance-related subject. You should also be a qualified or partially qualified accountant or have equivalent experience. Your professional experience should also include at least five years of proven success in a planning and controlling position, part of it spend in supporting an IT area and procurement, ideally in an international setting, You should have a strong understanding of financials, cost management and macroeconomic trends and experience working within a complex, matrix environment. This must include using planning and controlling tools, including SAP. You should be familiar with such programs as Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word. Your analytical attention to detail contributes to your strong ability to effectively communicate and present ideas as well as work in a team. Furthermore, you are self-motivated and able to work under pressure while focusing on deadlines and target achievements. Finally, you must be fluent in English. Any skills in German are an advantage.
