Senior Financial Analyst - Financial Planning Analysis

Job Scope and Complexity Serves as business planning subject matter expert in support of the entire TIAA-CREF organization. Develops timely, accurate and insightful analyses on various business plans, initiatives, and financial projections for EMT and Board presentations. Supports the asset and net flows forecasting process for the organization. Recognizes strategic implications of problems and issues. Implements enhancements to the business planning process/workflow. Looks beyond symptoms to identify causes of problems and potential trends; requires a high level of intellectual curiosity. Performs ad hoc analysis or lead special projects. May assist with developing and tracking project budgets and costs incurred, developing project financial performance specifications, validating data, tracking and resolving issues, etc. Interaction Networks with key business partners and senior personnel across groups to resolve issues, gain needed information and influence outcomes. Confers with manager, senior leaders, peers and others to discuss business activities relative to process, timing, policies, procedures and management reports to resolve problems and recommend solutions. Contributes to decisions and projects that have a moderate to high impact to the organization. Manages leadership expectations of those supported and works with them to fulfill their business and financial needs and ensure customer satisfaction. Oversight / Freedom to Act Normally works independently on day-to-day assignments, receiving general guidance and review on new assignments. Develops analyses, highlighting key messages, developing recommendations and presenting findings to senior management involving higher levels of risk and greater impact to the business.
