Senior Financial Analyst, Drug Channel Job in Somers 10589, New York US
- Key Finance contact on the Drug channel team for the beverage portfolio.
- Provide financial expertise and recommendations to drive effective sales/promotional event decisions. Provide sales team with adequate decision making capability to manage trade calendars, investment decisions and overall customer performance.
- Work with account teams, Field Sales Strategy and Warehouse Business Units to develop the annual plan for sales and trade investment.
- Partner with account teams, Field Sales Strategy and Warehouse Business Unit to develop accurate sales and trade forecasts. Analyze sales and trade variances and provide insight to Field Sales and the internal Business Unit.
- Monitor customer accruals to ensure accuracy.
- Partner with CDA and Business Unit (BU) payment Analysts to ensure proper trade promotion creation and contract compliance.
- Execute and post warehouse period forecast and close process
- Provide reporting and analysis to Sales management for tracking business results and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Conduct "pre" "post" promotional event analysis.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses that lead to problem solving and business improving recommendations.
- Analyze potential trade investment opportunities and provide guidance and financial perspective to Sales team.
- Provide coaching to sales team to enhance their financial skill sets and build partnering relationships that ensure both functions are working together to enhance team performance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years accounting or budget/financial analysis experience
- Bachelors degree
- Prefer previous consumer products related industry experience
- Excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions/processes
- Good people skills to manage information-gathering requests and have a positive influence on team members
- Results-oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and able to quickly learn various in-house software applications
- Able to work on own with minimal day to day supervision
- Ability to build relationships, manage conflict and embrace change
- Must be willing and able to travel 15% of the time
