MRM New York Manager, Financial Planning Analysis JOB DESCRIPTION A. Title Job Summary a. Manager, Financial Planning Analysis b. This position is responsible for teaming with New York/Princeton finance leadership in monitoring all financial aspects of the combined operation (both client and agency finance). B. Reporting Lines a. Reports to NY/Princeton Finance Director C. Responsibilities a. Oversight of the agency Financial Analyst who is responsible for various tasks including but not limited to: i. Developing and maintaining financial budgets and forecasts ii. Maintaining headcount and salary forecast models iii. Generating, distributing, analyzing and investigating monthly revenue, utilization and client/project profitability reports iv. Reporting to senior management the variances from budgets and forecasts v. Reporting on client/project profitability variances from expectations b. Regular interaction with office leadership to review office results and drive appropriate decision making c. Oversight of Client Finance Managers who are responsible for various tasks including but not limited to: i. Developing and/or reviewing client project fees ii. Ensuring that the client service teams obtain proper client-signed persuasive evidence for all projects such as contracts, signed estimates, purchase orders and intercompany service requests iii. Monitoring client billing to ensure that they are issued timely for both fees and out-of-pocket expenses iv. Monitoring project work-in-process details to ensure costs are billable v. Work with the account directors and project managers to monitor the monthly revenue pipeline vi. Calculate revenue for clients at the end of each month vii. Assist project management with analysis of job progress and profitability
