Senior Financial Analyst Job in Purchase 10577, New York US

Position Summary:  Responsible for financial analysis supporting company wide strategic and operational initiatives.

Major Job Accountabilities:

§  Collaborate with the Revenue Planning and Business Development groups in the development of the Company’s Budget and long term Strategic Plan.

§  Collaborate with various operating groups to identify and structure major tactical improvement opportunities.

§  Quickly gain working knowledge of company and assess economic performance for major capital allocation decision support.

§  Responsible for monthly Profitability reporting and forecasting. Responsibility requires detailed understanding of the company’s cost structure and the ability to model impact of changes in business conditions.

§  Responsible for monthly variance analysis and financial Close reports.

§  Support the SEC filing process through quarterly Business Segment Reporting and other MDA support.

§  Review existing cost allocation methodologies and identify areas of improvement in cost tracing for more accurate flight/ customer profitability.

§  Responsible for Flight Price-Out Analysis to determine impact of any proposed network changes on network profitability.

§  Cost Benefit analysis of Capital Expenditure projects. Projects include in-source/ outsource decisions, business process re-engineering, procurement RFP analysis etc. Requires ability to model business case scenarios to support optimal decision making.

§  Responsible for meeting all deadlines related to the Director’s areas of responsibilities and assisting the senior management in meeting Company deadlines. This area includes responsibility for special projects and tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications: 

§  2-5 years experience in consulting firm, investment bank, or corporate setting.

§  Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA with a finance concentration and 2 years’ experience post-graduation

     preferred.

§  Demonstrated ability in analysis including comparative ROI, cost-benefit, valuation, basic statistical models, and cost accounting.

§  Advanced computer skills. A high proficiency in excel spreadsheet and financial modeling is a must.  Experience with financial reporting and planning systems, SQL, database modeling a plus.

§  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the company and with external parties.

§  Highly organized individual with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

§  Flexibility to work additional hours and travel as required.
