Our client, a leading global infrastructure and materials company is currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to add onto their team. With over 2000 employees, our client has a global customer base with projects around the world. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing periodical financial reports and other management reports of the region. At the same time, the position is responsible for coordinating and preparing an annual budgeting process for the region and periodical forecast.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial reports of the region for the use of regional management team
Maintain performance dashboards and other KPIs set out to monitor operational and financial performance of the region
Carryout various financial analyses to provide necessary information for management decision making within the region
Prepare periodical reports required by corporate office
Coordinate the annual budgeting process for the region. Stakeholders involved are corporate management, regional executive team, plant managers and other functional team leaders/managers
Coordinate and prepare monthly and quarterly financial forecasts
Participate in system and process improvement activities
Ensure the recording of regions' financial information in SAP is in line with company policies and standards
Preparing ad-hoc reports as requested by the senior management
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Thorough understanding of management accounting concepts and tools and up-to-date knowledge of governing accounting standards.
Knowledge of cost accounting practices under a manufacturing and project environment and understanding of cost accounting methods adopted by the organization.
Good understanding of functions of various operational and supporting teams located within the region and the business process of all business lines.
Establishes a high personal standard of performance and service by actively participating in the Health and Safety program and other duties assigned, including educational seminars and training programs QUALIFICATIONS:
Accounting Designation
Five to seven years of related experience with focus on internal management reporting under manufacturing/project environment
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; uses appropriate software and intranet/internet applications and systems to manage work and increase productivity and efficiency. Knowledge of SAP-an asset
Strong communicator who possesses superior listening skills and exceptional verbal and written abilities; will have interaction with customers, vendors and colleagues. Conveys messages clearly and concisely to intended audiences to inform, request action and/or persuade the audience. Establish, build and maintain strong business relationships.
Takes a disciplined and structured approach to coordinate and manage information, to plan workload and to position activities, troubleshooting and strategic initiatives for optimum results.
Mathematically inclined with strong analytical skills. Uses sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions that consider both short and long term risks, impacts and outcomes.
Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.
Ability to work unsupervised
Compensation
$80,000 - $94.000 plus benefits
