Vaco Richmond is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst position for a large, stable company that is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
Responsibilities:
-Conducts most complex technical analysis to report on future and current financial performance, including analyses on budgets, forecasts, operating results, business plans and investment opportunities.
-Makes recommendations to improve operating results.
-Assist in development and measurement against identified key performance indicators
-Work closely with the Finance team in the monthly review of key Balance Sheet/PL items
-Plans the budgeting and forecasting processes for various functions in the organization
-Supports and recommends solutions to users who must make economic or business decisions.
-Actively participates in and may lead continuous improvement initiatives and updating of budgeting and forecasting policies and procedures.
-Creates models upon which business decisions can be based relating to sales, sales margins, cost analysis, profitability analysis, pricing proposals, etc. in order to accurately depict the business' financial information.
Qualifications:
-BS in Accounting or Finance required, MBA or CPA preferred
-Minimum of 3-8 years of corporate financial analysis and accounting experience
-Advanced analytic skills and the ability to support sound business decisions with solid reports
-Demonstrated advanced computer proficiency, specifically with MS Excel and MS Access
-Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
