Senior Financial Analyst (m/f) in Group Risk recruitment
Your Tasks:
As Senior Financial Analyst, your responsibilities will include the following:
Credit Analysis
- Regular review of OE portfolios, asset classes, segments (countries, industries), obligors
- Monitoring of the credit quality of credit exposures and definition of the company’s internal ratings based on counterparty and country risk analysis
- Review of exceptional requests for single credit transactions and NFIs
- Maintenance of Minimum Standards for single credit transactions
- Regular and ad hoc credit risk analysis of single counterparties (based on balance sheet analysis, rating information, agency reports) as well as portfolios of our client’s Operational Entities (OEs), asset classes, segments and countries, in particular critical ones; primary focus is on financial institutions and sovereigns
- Analysis and monitoring of economic and market developments
- Presentation of GR recommendations to our client’s senior management
Limit Management
- Maintenance and calibration of CRisP limit system
- Limit setting for obligors and obligor groups at the Group and OE level
- Limit and exposure monitoring and management process at the Group and OE level
- Review of remediation plans submitted in case of limit breaches, resolution of escalations
- Monitoring of the economic development of the major counterparties with respect to their financial situation and the need of counterparty exposure limit adjustment
Credit Risk Modeling Reporting
- Credit Risk Capital Internal Model development (i.e. parameter estimation validation)
- Development of standardized reporting tools
- Credit risk capital calculation at the Group, OE, LE level; regular ad-hoc exposure reporting (internally or to regulators); sensitivity analyses and stress testing
- Data quality monitoring and management at the Group and OE level
- Assessment of new financial instruments proposed by IM from credit risk perspective
Solvency II Project Work
- Implementation of the standard model (for credit risk)
- Integration of new data sources (e.g. Fitch, BvD) off-balance sheet positions into IDS
- New data requirements for prospective reinsurance exposure and derivatives
- Support to OEs in SII internal model implementation (e.g. Euler Hermes)
- Further development of CRisP with Second Floor
Your Qualification:
- University degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
- CFA or comparable international degree is mandatory
- Fluency in Business English (written spoken) is mandatory; good command of German is a plus
- Proficient knowledge of the MS-Office tools as well as Bloomberg
- 7-10 years work experience in credit risk management, portfolio management or financial analysis area at a bank or asset management company
- Knowledge of investment or asset management activities either in an insurance environment or a bank
- Excellent knowledge of (international) accounting standards
- Excellent knowledge of credit analysis and risk assessment of banks, insurance companies, corporates, sovereigns as well as industry assessment
- Experience in counterparty limit management processes or credit portfolio management
- Ability to analyze complex developments in the world economy as well as in capital markets
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with senior management
- High level of commitment and interest to work in a dynamic and demanding environment
- Proven team player who possesses curiosity and creativity
