Senior Financial Analyst – Modelling recruitment
Key Responsibilities:
Work with, and partner the Senior Business leaders and serves as the primary liaison with respect to Finance. Ensures that the Executives and Teams are supported through a Business Partnership.
- Analysing financial and business data and information using various analytical techniques to identify trends, issues, risks and opportunities – which can be flagged early to senior management
- Interpreting financial information to determine implications and business impact, and develop recommendations and actions for review and approval by senior management
- Gathering, validating and compiling quantitative and qualitative information and data, from multiple internal sources, systems and processes – to ensure accuracy, validity and completeness or financial data
-Contribute work with the FPA Management Team to define management reporting strategies and procedures and implements action plans.
- Aide the business in clearer definition, consistency and visibility of KPIs, creating dashboard views to support that. Work with other business areas to create consistent and meaningful MI strategy. Improve process consistency and controls
- Implement risk adjusted view of the PL that supports capital decision making by business unit and meaningful assessment of the performance.
- Advance and improve the currently available analytical views to develop better understanding of the portfolio: e.g. trend analysis, broker analysis, branch, industry and segmental analysis, sensitivity analysis etc.
- Implement Management Decision and Analytical reporting focused on the planned strategies. Produce analytical review and commentary to support analysis. Measure and monitor local strategies of the business, through the year comparing to prior and budget.
- Continuous process improvement and pursue best use of systems, such as SAP, Edsat, Cognos, Genesis, QlikView etc. Through review and deep understanding of systems to allow best use by FPA team, and ensure system outputs are aligned with FPA deliverables and requirements
- Document and automate standard reporting, for example through use of macros and access databases
- Timetable management – future planning and monitor adherence to deadlines
Position Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (or overseas equivalent)
- Experience working within financial services preferred
- Strong people management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced Excel - write macros and advanced formulas
- Access database skills
