Senior Financial Analyst recruitment

Objective
Position objective is to provide support to business and finance management through all phases of the financial planning and analysis processes.

Functional Responsibilities
- Prepare standard and relevant ad-hoc analysis in support of the financial planning and analysis processes
- Prepare monthly reports and variance analysis, identifying key focus areas for management
- Prepare increasingly complex analysis and insightful explanations of revenue or expense variances for finance management and/or business line senior leaders and management
- Develop materials for senior management presentations, discussions and reviews
- Support business and finance management in ad-hoc inquiries and financial reporting and analysis
- Provide analytical support and suggestions regarding the development of the corporate planning systems
- Work with the in-house accounting team to ensure integrity and relevance of management reporting

Scope/Supervision and Interaction
- Relies on management for key decision making
- Interaction with Business and Corporate Planning colleagues, Accounting, HR

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business discipline or progress toward equivalent accountancy qualification
- 4 - 5 years of exposure to analytic work is essential, largely in a financial planning and analysis role

Key Competencies
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Experienced with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Exposure to multidimensional reporting applications is essential (e.g. Hyperion Planning and Essbase)
- Exposure to the general ledger software (e.g. PeopleSoft Financials)
