Senior Financial Analyst recruitment

A new national regulatory and quality assurance agency for the $20 billion+ higher education sector, this organisation is responsible for regulating the sector, including Australian and overseas universities and other public and private providers.

As part of this new venture, we seek a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Regulatory Risk Information Group.

The primary function of the team of six is to drive the integrated approach of risk assessments to produce evidence-based decisions as well as develop a regulatory risk framework and the associated tools and systems around which the business can grow. The role requires you to contribute to a highly analytical environment, assist with the development of a regulatory risk framework and implement strategies.

You are a Chartered Accountant with significant proven experience in analysis and a passion for consulting with and advising senior management. You are also well versed in financial risk analysis. Due to the focus of the organisation, candidates with experience in the higher education will be highly regarded; however, experience in this sector is by no means a pre-requisite to an application. Expertise in the following areas will be favourable: insolvency, forensic accounting, risk, business analysis / proposal assessment experience and statistical techniques. The role will be multi-disciplinary and require significant team-work and continuous learning.
