Senior Financial Analyst – Strategy

Global Company is adding to the strategy team. This is a non routine, non tactical role. Person plays an integral role in assessment of key decision points. Individual must have excellent communication skills, ability to present t groups, strong modeling/system skills, and desire for challenge. Role offers great visibility throughout the organization. Professional is responsible for:

 

·         Financial assessment of new products / programs / opportunities

·         New product / program financial evaluation process from concept through commercialization

·         Ensuring critical assumptions identified during business case development are fully vetted at appropriate stage in the development process

·         Generating and recommending options for products / programs

 

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

 

·              Financial analysis of new products working with RD, Marketing, etc.

·              Develops financials to evaluate organizational impact of the opportunity (NPV, IRR, PL impact)

·              Develops and challenges key project assumptions for inclusion in the financial model; conducts scenario analysis to understand sensitivities and risks

·              Develops deep understanding of business drivers across geographic markets to complete a thorough opportunity assessment

·              Summarizes project, highlighting key risks/opportunities, ensuring management reports

·              Special projects / analysis

 

Qualifications

 

·              Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field

·              At least 5 years of financial analysis experience

·              Experience with Microsoft Office applications including:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

·              Experience in financial analytical and conceptual problem solving

·              Experience managing multiple deliverables and conflicting priorities

·              Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

·              Demonstrated communication and presentation skills

·              Ability to partner with others across multi-functional teams

·              Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business relationships

·              Master’s Degree in Finance or related field a plus

·              Experience with MS Access preferred

·              Experience with Monte Carlo simulations a plus
