Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain
· Perform monthly financial closing and analysis for the ESC Plant. Calculate and explain monthly financial variances for the Plant. Interpret operating results and make recommendations to operations on cost center spending and efficiency improvements.
· Responsible for preparing work papers, schedules, and journal entries to support the monthly closing process.
· Development of annual and ad hoc manufacturing standards.
· Communicate effectively as an official spokesperson for Finance on all plant finance issues. Delivers clear and articulate presentations that include defending position on controversial topics.
· Effectively execute on operational goals and objectives; identify necessary resources on high priority opportunities.
· Partner ESC Plant Leadership team in developing sound Strategic Plan, annual Business Plan, accurate Projections and Working Capital forecast while maintaining viable contingency plans.
· Strong analytical skills. Identify business trends, anticipate and assess risks, and recommend alternative solutions to assist in meeting financial commitments.
· Drive achievement of financial targets and influence decision making as a partner with the Plant Director by providing timely financial advice and support.
· Lead awareness, understanding ensure adherence to strong internal control and compliance environment in all aspects of the organization.
· Drive productivity through the identification of possible opportunities and gain the supply chain leadership acceptance. Advocate change to financial and non-financial processes to drive operational efficiency.
Job Requirements:
· The position requires a detailed understanding and comprehension of Manufacturing Cost Accounting.
· Required BA/ BS degree in Accounting or Finance with relevant experience.
· Thorough knowledge understanding of accounting requirements (US GAAP and SOX), MJN Policies and Procedures, accounting processes.
· Understanding of internal control and compliance standards as it impacts business decisions and financial results.
· Expert SAP Systems knowledge and advanced skills in Excel software. BPC, BOBJ and Microsoft office skills required.
· CPA/ Charted Accountant qualifications. MBA considered a plus.
· Minimum 3 - 5 years experience as a finance professional in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to work cross functionally with multiple business partners and be proficient at managing relationships and influencing colleagues.
· Financial management with experience analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance to all applicable standards.
